The Costa del Sol has come to be known as the Costa del Golf in recent years. The traditional things that have benefited the typical tourist over the last four decades have also to some extent caused an increase in the amount of people that come to the Costa del Sol to play golf.

Estepona Golf
This
is a private 18 hole golf courses located at approx. 2 kilometres from
Estepona Centre. It first opened in 1989 using the design of the natural
landscape which is set against the Sierra Bermeja mountain range, and
enjoying sea views from most parts of the course. The fairways are wide
and the greens large which provides a challenge for players of all levels,
but doesn't penalise the average golfer. ? You can find the course at
Km. 150 along the N-340, take the turning towards the right and drive
approx. 2 km further along.

Los Flamingos Golf
This
golf course with magnificent views to the Mediterranean Sea, Africa
and Gibraltar is made up out of four golf courses; The 18 hole ´Flamingos
Golf Club´, the ´Executive Course´ of 9 holes, the
18 hole ´Gran Flamingo´ and the ´Flamingo Norte´
with another 18 holes. With this variety it will attract the golfer
with relatively little experience or limited time as well as fanatics

Monte Mayor Golf Club
Nestling
in the mountains of Benahavis, behind Marbella, Monte Mayor is one of
Andalucia’s most spectacular 18 hole golf Courses. Designed by
the prolific Jose Gancedo, the course, which has six bridges linking
tees, fairways and greens, is ideal for the risk-taking player. ? To
locate this course you drive along the N-340, turn of at Km. 165,6 and
enter via Cancelada. Then follow the signs.

El Paraiso Golf & Country Club
This
18 hole golf course is situated between Estepona and San Pedro in a
valley surrounded by hills with magnificent views of the coast. El Paraiso
was carefully designed to achieve a peaceful atmosphere thanks to the
abundance of trees and plants and strategically positioned lakes and
bunkers. Competitions are held weekly. ? Whilst driving along the N-340
direction Gibraltar take the exit at C.C. Benavista and drive into urbanisation
El Paraiso.

Atalaya Golf Course
This
golf course is divided between its old part and the new part with both
18 holes. The old course has fabulous views towards the mountains and
the Mediterranean Sea. It starts off gently with deceptively wide flat
fairways but soon demands your full attention as it heads off up into
the foothills. The new course features wide fairways and fast elevated
greens and is suitable for all players regardless of ability. ? Drive
along the N-340 and take the exit to Benahavis. After approx. 1 km turn
left.

Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club
This
18 hole golf course is situated in the Benahavis district and was the
first one on the Costa del Golf to be designed by Severiano Ballesteros.
Players with all sorts of handicaps can enjoy this course with its wide
variety of holes and incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea and mountains.
? At approx. 5 kms from San Pedro this course is situated on the road
to Ronda on the left hand side.
