Gibraltar
Many of you have already visited Gibraltar Airport, as there are daily flights
from the U.K., but it is definitely worth a day trip, or even a long weekend
so you can visit all the places of interest the 'rock has to offer'.
Make sure you don’t forget a valid passport as you
have to pass the border or even a visa should you not have a European nationality.
The border is open 24h a day and rather then drive in,
many people leave their car in a Spanish car park and walk across
to prevent sitting in a queue for a long time. Once in Gibraltar
you can take the bus, taxi or go on a 'rock tour'. Main Street will only
take you ten minutes walk from the border though.
In Gibraltar you can pay with Pounds Sterling, Gibraltar
pounds, Euros and often USA Dollars. Please note that the Gibraltar pounds
are not valid in the U.K. but don’t worry, you will spend them all
before you return as there is plenty of (tax free) shopping to do!
